a story of excellence
Softly lying on the slopes of the town of Cisternino, a renowned tourist resort in the Apulian hinterland, immersed in the green of the centuries-old olive trees of the Itria Valley, stands the Osteria Sant'Anna, an ancient winery completely renovated which preserves, intact, the original stone structure.
It can be said that the Osteria is a house with a soul, wanted and cared for by the Calella family who wanted to highlight the imposing star vaults, the walls marked by the work done over the years, the large terracotta "capasoni" containing - once - the freshly pressed must and still the refined atmospheres designed with period furniture, old photos narrating ancient emotions and, scattered everywhere, candles and lamps always ready to illuminate a table prepared to welcome a demanding and refined clientele .
The kitchen of a society is the language into which it unconsciously translates its structure
À LA CARTÈ
The excellent cuisine is wisely tributary of the best of a tradition still alive and practiced on site, enriched and perfected over many years of work, thanks to the constant research of the chef Peppino Calella and the daily confrontation with his sons Stefano and Antonio.
